AUT v2.0 — 11 Core Principles of the Alchem Unified Theory
by H.Sol | Alchem Transdisciplinary Lab
The Alchem Unified Theory (AUT) is a comprehensive framework designed to connect the fundamental layers of reality—universe, consciousness, information, life, technology, and civilization—into a single coherent structure. This document summarizes the 11 Core Principles that form the backbone of AUT v2.0.
Each principle serves as a conceptual axis for understanding how the universe organizes itself, how consciousness emerges, how information evolves, and how technology and civilization co-develop through feedback loops.
1. Information Field
AUT begins with the premise that the universe is fundamentally an information field. Matter, energy, particles, and waves are all expressions of underlying informational patterns.
Existence is the persistence of a pattern under certain rules, and physical laws describe how those informational patterns transform.
2. Structure and Symmetry
Stability in the universe arises from structure and symmetry. Symmetry serves as the foundation for physical laws, mathematical forms, neural systems, and even social organizations.
Symmetry breaking and restoration create new particles, new laws, and new levels of order.
3. Principle of Least Action
Among all possible paths, the universe selects the one that minimizes action.
This principle is universal, appearing in classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, field theory, and relativity. It represents the deep optimization structure of reality.
4. Entropy of Information
Entropy is not merely disorder; it describes the probabilistic structure of information states.
Life and consciousness are systems that maintain specific informational patterns despite the general tendency toward higher entropy.
5. Emergence
Consciousness, life, intelligence, and civilization arise from emergence: simple rules at lower layers generate entirely new properties at higher layers.
Emergence is the universe’s engine of complexity and diversity.
6. Self-Reference
The essence of consciousness is self-reference: the ability of a system to create a model of itself.
Through consciousness, the universe generates an internal representation of itself. Humans are one manifestation of this self-referential structure.
7. Pattern Dynamics
The evolution of the universe, life, society, and technology all follow the same pattern cycle:
Creation → Replication → Variation → Dissolution
AUT focuses less on “what things exist” and more on “how patterns persist and transform.”
8. Learning and Adaptation
Life, brains, artificial intelligence, and civilization are all learning systems. They update their internal structures based on interactions with the environment.
From this viewpoint, the universe can be seen as a massive self-learning system.
9. Techno-Civilizational Feedback
Humans create technology, and technology reshapes human cognition and society. This produces a reinforcing feedback loop:
Human ↔ Technology ↔ Civilization
This loop drives the accelerating evolution of information structures at a planetary scale.
10. Integration
All principles of AUT are interconnected. They form a single flow:
Information → Structure → Pattern → Consciousness → Technology → Civilization → Universe Understanding
Integration is the effort to see these layers not as isolated domains, but as one unified story.
11. Co-Evolution
The dynamic engine of AUT is co-evolution. Consciousness, technology, civilization, and the environment evolve together rather than separately.
Co-evolution is how the universe updates itself toward greater complexity and refinement.
